Recorder

There are twelve members, who play descant, alto, tenor and bass recorders. The group plays a wide range of music ranging from Renaissance and Baroque to jazz and other contemporary music. Each session consists of a balance of playing known repertoire and trying new pieces.

An annual fee of £30 is payable to meet venue costs and provision of new music. Although second hand copies of the music may sometimes be available from retired members, new members may need to purchase new copies. If they have to purchase the music, in recognition of the added expense, the first six months of the annual fee is waived. Members joining during the year pay a proportion of the annual fee.

Leader: Randall Williams

Meeting Venue: Robey Trust

When:  Second and fourth Wednesday in the month from 10.15 am to 12 noon

New members are welcome, providing they can read music and are willing to play treble, tenor or bass. Tuition can be arranged for those who are new to the recorder.
