The Via Francigena – A walk from Canterbury to Rome – Captain Andrew Welch RN retired

Andrew, who joined the Royal Navy in 1968 and during his career as warfare officer spent several extended periods abroad - Qatar, Italy and, immediately prior to his retirement in 2003, Pakistan - will talk about his Naval Officer's 'retirement cruise', a 1200 mile walk from Canterbury to Rome, in 2004.
