It’s summertime so, braving all the weather forecasts, we’ll be holding another open-air event in the Meadows in Tavistock on August 17 instead of our usual indoor meeting in the Town Hall. Be ready for rain or sunshine!
We’ll provide tea, coffee and soft drinks as well as sandwiches (carnivores, herbivores and omnivores catered for). As with last year's party in the park, we invite you to bring a sample of your favourite homemade cake(s); last year we had a magnificent spread of wonderful cakes and we're hoping for this again.
We intend to hold this event whatever the weather so come suitably clothed; bring a sunhat or umbrella, summer clothing or thermals.
We ask those who attend to bring something to sit on - deckchair, stool, blanket - and a mug for a hot drink (that will save work and waste).
We have space for 100 members so if you would like to attend you will need to register in advance. Please text Jane Ward or email her at jane.paul.ward@gmail.com by 1st August.
