The Alternative History of Ponies on Dartmoor - Joss Hibbs Powdermills Pottery (EXACT TIME SUBJECT TO CHANGE)
02-06-2021The pottery has teamed up with the charity Friends of the Dartmoor Hill Pony to create the Dartmoor Hill Pony Exhibition.
Joss will talk about the history of ponies on Dartmoor from the stone age to the present day, how the hill ponies have evolved to be able to survive there all year round, how they help create a home for wildlife and about the ancient ebb and flow of 'wild' ponies on the moor's commons.
Joss Hibbs has been resident potter at Powdermills since 1999, having been taught to throw pots on the potters wheel by Richard Phethean, and having completed two years of ceramics at the University of Westminster.

07-07-2021Marjorie's take will focus upon how she advises clients as they contemplate a move into a different phase in their lives, be it a change in their health or employment. This includes considerations about where people live and how they fund their lives currently and will do so in the future, such that their needs are met and their wishes of bequeathing assets to relatives, can be achieved. The talk will include reference to examples of her work.
