Andrew Baker, a former headmaster with a particular interest is social, cultural and political
change since the First World War and who regularly lectures to a range of audiences including
cruise ship audiences, describes his talk as a “portrait of a turbulent society, unrecognisable
from the bankrupt and exhausted Britain of 1945. A fascinating journey”.
