Reliving our Own Story: A vivid pastiche of our post-war social and cultural revolution. Can you believe it? - Andrew Baker

3rd March 2021 2:30 pm

Zoom

One plus of holding our meetings via Zoom is that it is possible to engage speakers from
rather further afield than normal and this month’s speaker falls into this category.
Reliving our Own Story: a vivid pastiche of our post-war social and cultural revolution.
Can you believe it? – Andrew Baker
Andrew Baker, a former headmaster with a particular interest is social, cultural and political
change since the First World War and who regularly lectures to a range of audiences including
cruise ship audiences, describes his talk as a “portrait of a turbulent society, unrecognisable
from the bankrupt and exhausted Britain of 1945. A fascinating journey”.
