The Third Age trust has much information that you might find interesting in the present Covid situation.
Any Tavy U3A member who wishes can contribute to this website and help all of us in our isolation. Initial ideas are to send photos or short videos but also to express yourself in prose or poetry or just a thought. Further suggestions welcome by email to email@example.com
We now have a Local Information Page with useful numbers and websites where you can find information for the PL19 and PL2O areas. If you have any tips please send to the website.
Go to Gallery to see the content and if you want to contribute send to the website pictures/videos that you might like to share perhaps with some comments, thoughtful or witty or just factual.
If anyone wants to publish poems or essays, we can create pages for members to appreciate in this confusing time send them to the website.
A Message from our Chairman, Barry Smith.
In light of the Government announcement I would advise you that, until further notice, the monthly meetings of Tavy District U3A are cancelled.
The mid August Guidance from HMG changes the way in which we can socially interact and the easing of restrictions gives opportunities to restart some of the Tavy District U3A Groups
All of the committee members phone numbers are given in the bi monthly magazine, please use them to contact us if we can help you in any way.
Our Website will carry updates and , as things progress , we will contact you again.
Please stay safe and we look forward to meeting you all in the not too distant future.
For and on behalf of the Committee of Tavy District U3A.
Barry Smith, Chair.
U3A aims and objectives are to enhance the lives of people no longer working by providing a social network of those with similar interest..We do this through more than 50 Interest Groups providing educational, leisure and recreational activities for the benefit of members in Tavistock and the surrounding area.Groups are organised on a self help basis where we share knowledge and experience. We have a good programme of social events and several active walking groups.
The speaker-program starts at 2.00pm at some future date.
