2:00 pm: Cybercrime - Laura Cowie Cyber Protect Officer Devon and Cornwall Police24th March 2021 Zoom Earlier this year we were approached by Devon and Cornwall Police Cyber Protect Officer Laura Cowie, who some of you may remember spoke to us about two years ago about cybercrime. The police are concerned over the increase in phishing emails, and more recently text messages being sent to individuals stating that they eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine. These messages purport to be from the NHS and the link takes you to a very convincing website. It tries to confirm your identity by asking for your card details. For further information on Covid-19 related scams, visit Take Five to Stop Fraud and for general cyber security for individuals, Cyber Aware is a great site to use. |
