Theatre

Open to all u3a members, our main venue is the Theatre Royal Plymouth. We make block booking of seats for selected shows as early as possible. The theatre holds the seats for us until about four months prior to the scheduled performance, when we have to confirm final numbers and pay for the tickets. 

We try to cater for most tastes by booking a mixture of drama, musicals and ballet. Most are booked on a Thursday matinee whenever possible. Members are responsible for their own transport to the theatre and back; there is a bus stop opposite the theatre with regular buses to Tavistock, Yelverton and all points in between.

You can sign up and pay for tickets for upcoming shows at the monthly meetings, alternatively you can book via email at tavyu3atheatre@gmail.com. 

Payments for Theatre
Our preference for payment for any performance is
1. By credit/debit card on the card machine, at the monthly meetings.
2. By BACs, pay AFTER you’ve confirmed that you are signed up on the list for the performance. The BACs details for the Theatre CLICK HERE adding your surname and the name of the performance you are paying for. Please make sure you select the correct account as there are two. Would you also please email the above email to confirm you have made it.

We receive a small discount on ticket prices for a group of ten and a larger discount for a group of twenty or more.
