Any member is welcome to join our u3a walks, However you must pre-book your place on any walk by contacting the walk leader. You cannot just turn up. You will appreciate this is because we often have to alter out planned walk/meeting according to the weather.
We usually now meet at Pixon Lane free carpark to car share to the start of our walk. We follow Covid regulations so please check this and do not come if you are unwell.
Details of each walk can be found here in the calendar of walks (just click on the + sign to get the details), in the newsletter or at the Wednesday monthly meetings where it is possible to sign up for the walks available.
Please take careful note of the distance, terrain and whether a packed lunch is required. Walks vary month by month in distance and time taken so choose and sign up for whichever suits you. We look forward to exploring and guiding you around the local area. Please remember the Dartmoor climate and wear/bring appropriate waterproof, warm clothing and walking boots as the weather here, as you probably know changes so quickly.
Both of January and February walks are weather related so we may need to rearrange nearer the time. Hopefully by March we will be able to offer two walks a month again.

A circular walk, mainly on coastal paths from Padstow to Trevone via Stepper Point. From Trevone we will return on inland tracks via Trethillick Farm Shop and Café.
A longer walk than usual at 8.5mls, many ups and downs. Bring a packed lunch, snacks and a drinks.

This is a circular walk to which includes Hucken Tor, Kings Tor, Foggintor Quarryl, stone rows and stone circle.
About 4mls, walk along tracks, open moorland with some ups and downs.
Bring a packed lunch and a drink, optional stop at the The Dartmoor Inn, Merrivale at the end of the walk.

This is a circular walk which includes Norris Green, Metherell, Cotehele Mill and Quay.
Lanes and footpaths, some ups and downs.
About 6mls. Bring a packed lunch, snacks and drinks. Optional stop at café or pub back in Calstock.

This is a circular walk to Walkhampton and Huckworthy Bridge via Walkhampton Church
and along the disused Princetown railway track.About 5mls, a mix of minor roads, field paths and a Green Lane known as ' Jimmie Pickles' Lane.
There are 3 stiles, one of which is a wall stile. Bring drink and a picnic.
