We read a variety of modern novels written in English by authors from many parts of the world. These books are chosen by members form the extensive list provided by Devon Library service, at a cost of £60 for borrowing 12 sets per year. This sum is shared by the group members in September.
We discuss themes, characters, style and other points of interest. Often, these are the basis for a general discussion about topical ideas and social issues; past and present.
We are known by Tavistock Library as the Woodtowners.
