We meet monthly, except for the summer months, when we usually have a “School Trip” to a vineyard! One of us may lead on a particular favourite wine variety, or, we will all bring a bottle from one area or type and compare and contrast them.
It’s u3a, so research on the grape, terroir and what it is supposed to taste like is essential.
We only have a small amount in tasting glasses each, which is just as well as it is held at the leaders home at Weir Quay down by the Tamar if the weather is nice, so appropriate dress is required! Oh, and you get to take the rest of your bottle home. Car share is encouraged. It’s friendly, fun and educational…..and you are welcome to put your name down on the waiting list.
