I have optioned some tickets for Car Man a new Matthew Bourne ballet at the Theatre Royal on Thursday July 16th 2026 at 2.30pm. This is Bourne's take on Bizet's Carmen, transposing the story from the 19th century Spanish Cigarette factory to a 1950s American garage-diner. Having seen Matthew Bourne's Red Shoes just this week, it is certain to be highly entertaining with spectacular dancing.
Tickets are £55 each for seats in the Circle and we have to receive payment by or at the u3a meeting on 7th January. I apologise for the short notice but booking was only open from earlier this month and I have only just found out about it.
If you would like to book seats please let me know by email to tavyu3atheatre@gmail.com. If you would like to pay by Bacs ( or by cheque) before the beginning of January please let me know and I will send you the relevant details. We won't have a theatre table at the December meeting so there will not be an opportunity to pay then. There are two accounts so please make sure you have the right one.
Kind Regards
Carole Thompson
